Nomic is an interesting game that plays with uncertainty and emergence of rules, a game in which the main activity is 'proposing changes in the rules, debating the wisdom of changing them in that way, voting on the changes, deciding what can and cannot be done afterwards, and doing it. Even this core of the game, of course, can be changed'. In just one session of Nomic, whole worlds and social systems can be created, tested, deconstructed and reconstructed several times. Such games teach us to let go of any pretence of certainty and to thrive in a world in flux. They encourage a view of futures not as set in stone, but emerging from the actions and interactions of the players.
